The Society has 560 life members on roll as on 1st Decamber 2022.
The membership fee: Annual ₹500, Life ₹3,000; all new members shall pay an entrance fee of ₹10. All payments to the Society should be in the form of Cheque/Demand Draft in favour of the Society payable at Chennai, India or through online transfer [Our Bankers Indian Overseas Bank, Thiruvanmiyur (0418) Branch, Chennai 600041. The Society recognizes the Research achievements of its Senior Life Members by conferring Fellowship in Reproduction and Endocrinology (FRE) and young Life members by conferring Membership in Reproduction and Endocrinology (MRE). The Society also awards Prof Pera Govindarajulu Gold Medal Oration and Prof. B.B. Kaliwal Gold Medal Oration in recognizing the life time research contribution of its senior Life members. Young Life members are recognized by awarding Prof. M.A. Akbarsha &Prof. M. Michael Aruldhas Gold medal Oration and Dr. P. Daisy Gold medal Oration is awarded to Young women Life members to recognize their research achievements. The Society also recognizes young researchers through two best paper awards, one each, instituted in the name of Prof. Chandana Haldar and Prof. Saumen Kumar Maitra for original research papers published in reputed journals during the preceding three years, from work carried out in India
Apart from the above awards Prof. N.J. Chinoy best paper awards [Three for open presentations and three prizes for poster presentations] are presented to young research scholars during the annual SRBCE conferences with cash prize and certificate.
The Society publishes a journal The Journal of Endocrinology and Reproduction (JER) [ISSN - Online: 2455-1244 Print ISSN : 0971-913X], cited in Biosis, Chemical Abstracts, Biological Abstracts, Current Indian Titles, etc .Informatics Global Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore is the co-publisher of the JER. The Journal is Indexed in Index Copernicus, included in Web of Science Zoological Record and BIOSIS Previews, The Journal is Indexed in U. S. National Library of Medicine and is listed in the UGC list of approved Journals.
